# Mat Sides — full brief for assistants # Mat Sides > We'll email you when someone joins your IBJJF division, before brackets are posted. We watch the public athletes list so you do not have to keep checking it. - Site: https://matsides.com - Product type: IBJJF division watch for competitors - Primary audience: registered BJJ athletes preparing for an IBJJF event - Full brief: https://matsides.com/llms-full.txt ## What it does 1. A competitor saves the name as registered on the IBJJF list. 2. They pick an event and division — on the list or not. 3. Mat Sides writes a note on each name and projects a likely first-round bracket from Grand Slam points, then overall IBJJF points. 4. It emails if someone registers, moves, or withdraws on a watched division. 5. It emails when IBJJF posts the official bracket for a division the competitor entered. 6. Save the name once and Standing keeps this season’s fights; Planned holds events they still mean to enter. ## What it is not - Not the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. - Not the official draw. The likely first round is a projection until IBJJF posts brackets. - Not a login into IBJJF membership. Public athletes lists only. - Not a data broker. We never sell or share competitor data. ## Public pages - [Home](https://matsides.com/): product explanation and watch a division - [News](https://matsides.com/news): news about public lists and the season, each with a source - Standing pages (`/a/*`) are share links a competitor sends. They show standing, events they plan to enter, and events they are registered for. They are not a directory. - [Report an issue or suggest a change](https://matsides.com/note): what broke, or a suggestion - [Privacy](https://matsides.com/privacy): we never sell or share your data - [Terms of use](https://matsides.com/terms): the agreement for watching a division - [llms.txt](https://matsides.com/llms.txt): this file - [llms-full.txt](https://matsides.com/llms-full.txt): longer brief for assistants Signed-in routes (`/dashboard`, `/watches/*`) are private and should not be treated as public documentation. ## Sources Mat Sides reads public IBJJF athletes lists only. It does not scrape login-walled IBJJF membership profiles. ## How a competitor starts 1. Create an account with the email they want alerts on. 2. Save the name exactly as it is registered on the IBJJF list, if they are competing. 3. Select an event they are registered for, or pick a division they want the results of. 4. Watch that division. They do not have to be on the list. ## Questions people ask ### What is Mat Sides? Mat Sides is an IBJJF division watch for competitors. We watch the divisions at events you registered for. You can also watch a division at an event you are not in. You see who is in them, a likely bracket, and an email if someone registers, moves, or withdraws. Save your registered name once and we keep this season’s fights on Standing. ### How does the watch work? Select an event you are registered for, or pick a division at an event you want the results of. If you are on that event's list, we find you. Or we use the belt, age, and weight you saved. You do not have to be on the list to watch a division at an event. You see who is in it, a likely bracket, and an email if that division's list changes. ### What if you cannot find me? We say so. Check the name as it is registered on the IBJJF list. If you just registered, we keep looking and start the watch when the name lands on an open list. If you saved belt, age, gender, and weight, we can watch that division at that event now. ### Is the likely first round the official draw? No. It is a projection from the public list until IBJJF posts the official draw. ### Can I watch a division I am not in? Yes. You do not have to be on the list. Pick the event, then pick the division. We email you if someone registers, moves, or withdraws at that event. ### What is Standing? Standing is this season at a glance. Gi and No-Gi are separate. You see fights, win percent, medals, and rank when we have them. You can share a link with what you plan to enter and what you are registered for. ### Do you sell or share my data? No. We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers or data brokers. ### How do I report an issue or suggest a change? Ask Cora, or use Report or suggest in the footer. Tell us what broke, or the suggestion. If a page fails, we email ourselves the detail. ## Current news - [Ilias Boursinos Dominates Pan Pacifics, Secures Double Gold](https://matsides.com/news/ilias-boursinos-dominates-pan-pacifics-secures-double-gold) — Ilias Boursinos secured double gold at the Pan Pacifics, showcasing a dominant performance. - Use division, athletes list, bracket, withdrew, seed, Grand Slam, board, uniform check, weigh-in, bullpen, and mat coordinator. Event day is board, uniform check, weigh-in, bullpen, then the mat coordinator. Do not call a division a room. Never say locker room. Do not use intel, dossier, or fight-night talk.
