We never sell or share your data
That is the rule.
The rule
We will never sell your data.
We will never share it with advertisers, data brokers, sponsors, or anyone building a list of competitors.
We will never rent it, trade it, or hand it to a marketer.
We do not run ads on your division.
We do not put a tracking pixel on the watch so a brand can follow you around the web.
What we keep
If you create an account, we keep the email you sign in with.
You can save the name as it is registered on the IBJJF list, plus belt, age, gender, and weight.
If you watch a division, we keep the public athletes list for that event, the division, and the name you marked as you.
We keep the emails we already sent you about that list, and whether they landed.
If you ask Cora a question, we see that question long enough to answer it.
If you report an issue or suggest a change, including through Cora, we keep what you wrote, the page you were on, and the email you gave so we can write back.
If a page fails, we keep the error detail long enough to email it to ourselves.
The site also keeps a sign-in session so you do not have to log in on every click.
What is already public
We read public IBJJF athletes lists.
Those names, academies, and divisions are already on the internet.
We may match a name to other public results so we can project a seed.
We do not log into IBJJF as you.
We do not ask for your IBJJF password.
How we use it
We use it to watch a division.
We use it to project a likely first round.
We use it to email you when someone registers, moves, or withdraws.
We use it so Cora can answer from your watches, not from a guess.
We use a note to fix the site or decide what to build next.
We do not use it to sell you gear, a seminar, or someone else’s product.
Who helps us run it
A few companies see only what they need to run the account, the list, the email, or the site.
Clerk holds the sign-in.
A database we host on Neon stores the watch.
Resend sends the email.
Vercel hosts the site.
Vercel also counts page views so we can see how the site is used — not so a brand can follow you around the web.
An AI provider reads a question or a public name so Cora and the note on each athlete can answer.
They are processors, not buyers.
They do not get a license to sell your data or advertise to you.
If a law or a valid order forces a look, we will share the least we can and tell you if we are allowed to.
How long we keep it
We keep the account and the watches while you still want them.
If you delete the account, we delete the watch, the profile we stored, and the alert history we can still reach.
A backup may take a short time to catch up.
We may keep a record that we already sent an email, so we do not send it twice.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have on you.
You can ask us to fix a name, an email, or a division.
You can ask us to delete the account.
You can stop a watch.
You can stop the emails by writing us or deleting the account.
If a law where you live gives you more, we will honor that too.
Children
Do not create an account if you are under 13.
If you are 13 to 17, a parent should be on the email that gets the alerts.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will date it on this page.
The rule does not change: we still will not sell your data, and we still will not share it so someone else can market to you.
Report or suggest
Report an issue or suggest a change from the site, or write privacy@matsides.com.
Use the email on the account if that is easier.
